- Often nowadays, we have calls from customers who think they might have had some sort of scam tried on them. Our customers over the years who have been scammed, over 99% of the time had answered the phone and believed they were talking to their bank or service provider etc. Our advice is always to hang up immediately, check you have a dial tone on your phone and then dial your bank directly. These scammers tend to know enough information about you to convince you they are from your bank etc. If the conversation has gone too far and they have accessed your computer/laptop we can clean the machine of the software installed.
